The Fava Residences are housed in a splendid and unique captain house of the mid 19th century, located at the highest point of the traditional village of Finikia. The architects and owners of the property, started the rebuilt in the 1980’s with love and care and they transformed it into a spacious and modern, though with respect to the original traditional form, summer house. Today, the building offers its hospitality in four individual fully furnished self-catering apartments that offer a sense of 19th century history combined and harmonized with modern amenities and services, located in the heart of the most picturesque and virgin from the tourist development village of the island. Fava is just a stone’s throw from the magnificent Oia and away from the crowds and noise. All apartments have wonderful views over the village, the famous sunset of the island and the Aegean Sea with the close Ios, Sikinos and Folegandros islands on the horizon. Our goal is to make you feel that Fava is your home and Santorini, your island. All rooms have unobstructed views of the sea and sunset. They are fully independent and autonomous with authentic typical decoration of traditional manor house, which brings back memories of the naval origin of the 19th century era. Because they are either cave-formed in the ground or surrounded by 60 cm thick walls, all are very cool regardless of the external conditions. The residences have private fully functional kitchens and baths with built-in showers and hairdryer, comfortable double and single beds and autonomous outdoor patios with table and chairs for relaxing. All rooms have heating radiators and air conditioning as well as 24-7 Wi-Fi access, TV, CD player, classical music CD’s, radio, and multilingual books.
